The Scholarship Fund

Motherland Village Scholarships

Connection shouldn't depend on what you can afford. If the cost of Motherland Village is holding you back from joining, you can apply for a fully funded place in one of our six-week programs.

A fully funded place

Find your village, at no cost to you.

A Motherland Village scholarship covers the full cost of our six-week online program, giving you the same experience as every other mum in your Village group - for free.

Scholarships are made possible by the generosity of our donors, partners, and our fundraising efforts. Together, they help us make sure cost doesn't stand in the way of a rural mum finding connection and support.

The Motherland Scholarships

There are a few ways to access a place in the Motherland Village.

You can apply through our National Scholarship Program, access a funded place if you’re a mum in Queensland or the Katherine and Big Rivers region, or nominate a rural mum in your life who you think could benefit from finding her village.

Is a scholarship for me?

If you're wondering - the answer is yes.

You might apply because you're geographically or socially isolated, don't have access to a local mothers group, are looking for more support, or simply want to connect with other rural mums who understand the realities of raising a family in a rural area.

And if you're thinking someone else probably needs it more - please don't let that stop you from applying.

You don't need to prove you're isolated enough, or struggling enough, to deserve a free spot.

Who can apply

You can apply for a scholarship if…

You're a rural, regional or remote mum

You live in a rural area, whether that’s on a farm, a station, small acreage, or in a rural town and community. A lot of our participants have a connection to agriculture.

The fee is a barrier right now

There's no income paperwork or lengthy financial assessment. We take you at your word.

You can commit to six weeks

The program only works if you show up - commit to the weekly activities and attend the four live online sessions.

If your circumstances don't quite fit the above but you're experiencing isolation and feel Motherland Village could help, we still encourage you to get in touch. Applications can be considered on a case-by-case basis.
