Motherland is searching for additional Motherland Village Facilitators to run our Motherland Village groups in 2024 and beyond.

About the role 

You will be trained and then paid to facilitate our online rural mother’s group programs as well as working with the team to continually enhance the program and increase brand awareness across Australia. This paid role comes with flexible working from home hours, paid training hours and ongoing support from the Motherland management team. 

Key responsibilities

• You’ll be trained as a Motherland Village facilitator including partaking in required training to ensure consistency across the program. 
• You’ll be allocated rural mother’s groups, managing the 6-week online program and facilitating the group video calls.
• You will support the team to ensure continuous improvement and enhancement of the online program. 
• You’ll help the team by supporting brand awareness ideas and opportunities for Motherland. 
• You may also provide the Motherland team with ad hoc operational support if and when required. 

Who we’re looking for 

• You’re a mum who resides anywhere in rural or regional Australia. Excellent candidates outside rural Australia will be considered.
• You’re a confident facilitator and/or public speaker and enjoy meeting new people
• You’re personable, compassionate and empathetic with the ability to spark conversations in any situation.
• You’re tech savvy and are experienced with social media and video conferencing. You have (or have access to) a stable internet connection that can handle video conferencing.  
• You understand the ups and downs of life on the land and are passionate about supporting the emotional wellbeing of rural mums. 
• You are willing to learn and adapt as we constantly improve the online program.
• You preferably have a professional background or relevant expertise.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have been through the Motherland Village program.

Depending on where you live and your interest, there is the opportunity to become a Motherland Ambassador if you have capacity to take on the dual paid facilitator and volunteer awareness raising role. Please indicate your interest in the application form. 

Motherland is a registered charity that advocates for the emotional wellbeing of rural mothers in Australia and delivers products and services that help build resilience and improve mental health outcomes. In late 2021, we launched Motherland Village, Australia’s first online rural mother’s group program that connects women to their own personalised support group. We also run a highly successful podcast that shares real and raw stories of rural motherhood told by women on the land. The show has amassed more than 950,000 downloads to date.
