QLD Longreach Event

Motherland is coming to Longreach, where we’ll be celebrating the International Day of Rural Women. A day to recognise and recognise the incredible women of rural Australia.

We’d love for you to join us on Saturday 10th of October from 11.00am at The Drover’s Place, Longreach for a relaxed grazing lunch, drinks and meaningful conversation.

Our fundraiser will feature a panel discussion about the highs and lows of rural motherhood hosted by Motherland Founder and CEO Stephanie Trethewey, with three rural women from the region and beyond:

  • Joy McClymont, founder of Off the Track Training
  • Ellen Fitzgerald, remote education advocate
  • Angie Nisbet, co-founder of FarmHER Hands

Tickets are $75 per person (children under 12 are free).

Your ticket includes:

  • Motherland Gift Bag worth +$30 (including a special gift from Tiny Jewellery and Little Creek Collective)
  • Complimentary welcome drink
  • A delicious grazing style lunch
  • Access to a special pop-up marketplace of hand-picked retail stores and health providers
  • A chance to win amazing raffle prizes

We are excited to connect with mums from across the region, share stories and raise vital funds to support isolated rural mums across the country. All proceeds go directly to Motherland, so we can continue supporting mums in rural and isolated areas across Australia. A huge thanks to all businesses for their generous sponsorship and raffle donations, we are so grateful for your support.

While this event is a celebration of rural mums, everyone is welcome – whether you’re a rural mum, know a rural mum, or simply want to support this important cause!

A Motherland first: bring a rural mum for free

For the first time, every guest purchasing a ticket will have the option to add one complimentary ticket for a rural mum they’d love to see at the event – someone who would benefit from the connection and support, but for whom the ticket cost may be a barrier.

There are no questions asked and no explanation required. It’s simply a chance to extend the invitation, bring another rural mum into the fold and make sure more women can share in this special day.

Complimentary tickets are limited and available until allocation is exhausted.
