Motherland's key impact areas and milestones from 2024
Motherland has released its 2024 Impact Statement highlighting how the national charity is delivering services that reduce isolation and improve mental health outcomes for rural mothers across Australia.
In the last year, Motherland has had a strong year of delivering impactful projects across Australia. Our major milestones of 2024:
“Our charity is committed to connecting rural mothers across Australia, reducing isolation, improving mental health outcomes and improving the lives of the women who are the backbone of our rural communities,” CEO and Founder Motherland, Stephanie Trethewey said.
Since launching the Motherland Village Program, Australia’s first online rural mother’s group program, more than 320 mums have connected to their own personalised support group. 93% of rural mums said the program changed their lives and 98% said that the program improved their mental health if it was an issue before they joined.
It remains urgent to deliver our mission – to ensure no rural mum is left behind. Motherland’s own research shows that 89% of rural mums say feeling lonely or isolated is the hardest part of rural motherhood, more than 60% of rural mums say their local community does not have the health services to support their families.
Last year was an incredible year for Motherland, and we are excited to share our latest key data and impact. Click here to read the full 2024 Impact Statement.
