Gina Chick
International rewilding facilitator, Winner of SBS's Alone Australia and Author
Gina Chick
International rewilding facilitator, Winner of SBS's Alone Australia and Author

Introducing the incredible Gina Chick, get ready to be taken on a wild ride! Gina is an international rewilding facilitator, adventurer and storyteller whose work has touched hearts (and toughened feet!) around the world. You might recognise her as the winner of SBS’s Alone Australia, where she survived 67 days solo in the sub-zero Tasmanian wilderness. Barefoot. In winter.

Her grit, warmth, and connection to nature captured the hearts of over 5 million Australians and now, she’s coming to Motherland’s 2026 National Conference.

Gina’s programs help people of all ages reconnect with themselves. From Rewild Your Child family camps, to solo rite of passage quests, her work draws from ancient knowledge and weaves it into our modern lives. Her presence is electric, her storytelling unforgettable and her passion for community and connection is something we can all feel deeply.

We’re beyond thrilled to welcome Gina to the Motherland stage in Toowoomba this March.

Genevieve Muir
Parenting Expert, Social Worker and Author of Little People, Big Feelings
Genevieve Muir
Parenting Expert, Social Worker and Author of Little People, Big Feelings

Introducing the amazing Gen Muir, mum of four, parent educator, social worker, author and all round voice of reason when it comes to raising little humans in a big, chaotic world.

You might know her from The Today Show, Sunrise, The Project, or her brilliant book Little People Big Feelings People.

Gen’s work is grounded in real life. In the mess. In the car park breakdowns and bedtime battles. She speaks from the heart – about the day she thought she’d ruined everything, about what happens when the village disappears, and why so many parents today feel like they’re drowning in guilt and pressure.

She’ll unpack why our kids’ “big feelings” are showing up more than ever (from babies to teens), how connection and boundaries can co-exist and why the voices in our heads telling us we’re not doing enough… need a serious rewrite.

We have no doubt that you’ll be laughing, crying and walking away feeling lighter, understood and a whole lot less alone.

Julie Goodwin
Australia’s First MasterChef Winner & Author of Your Time Starts Now
Julie Goodwin
Australia’s First MasterChef Winner & Author of Your Time Starts Now

We are so excited to welcome the one and only Julie Goodwin to the Motherland Conference.

Australia first fell in love with Julie back in 2009, when over 4 million people watched her become the very first winner of MasterChef. With her down to earth warmth, heartfelt cooking and trademark wit, she quickly became a household name and a voice so many of us trust.

But it’s what Julie has shared beyond the kitchen that has left an even deeper mark. Through the highs of best-selling cookbooks and national TV, to the lows of her personal battles with mental health, Julie’s honesty, vulnerability and fierce strength have inspired a whole new conversation around what it means to be real and human.

Her new memoir ‘Your Time Starts Now’ lays it all bare, and in March, she’s bringing that same raw, powerful storytelling to Toowoomba.

Anna Meares OAM
Most accomplished Australian Olympic Cyclist and Olympic Chef de Mission
Anna Meares OAM
Most accomplished Australian Olympic Cyclist and Olympic Chef de Mission

We are so proud to welcome Olympic legend Anna Meares OAM as the Motherland Conference Gala Dinner Keynote Speaker!

Four-time Olympian, Chef de Mission for Paris 2024 and Los Angeles 2028, and the most decorated female track cyclist in history, Anna’s achievements on the track are iconic. But beyond the medals and milestones lies a powerful story of resilience, reinvention, and rising… again and again.

Anna’s strength doesn’t stop at sport. She’s also a devoted mum, and long before welcoming her daughter, she opened her heart and home as a foster mum. Her journey of motherhood, biological and beyond, is deeply inspiring and beautifully aligns with the heart of our community.

Her story is one of courage, purpose, and the power of picking yourself up after life knocks you down. She’ll leave you moved, motivated, and ready to take on whatever lies ahead.

Giaan Rooney, MC
Olympic swimming champion, Farmer and TV presenter
Giaan Rooney, MC
Olympic swimming champion, Farmer and TV presenter

Introducing our MC, Giaan Rooney.

As a former darling of Australian Swimming, Giaan holds medals at every level of competition, including an Olympic Gold. In 2006, Giaan retired from swimming to forge a successful career as a TV presenter.

Giaan is married to a fifth-generation cattle farmer and lives on their macadamia farm in Northern NSW with their two children.

Giaan shared her story with Motherland way back on Episode 118 of the podcast. She is passionate about postnatal mental health and supporting rural communities, and she just gets it.

Giaan brought such authenticity, warmth, joy (and killer dance moves!) to our inaugural event last year, and we are just so thrilled to have her part of the Motherland family.
